Well, it's been a while since I've blogged. A long while. There are many reasons, but I need to get back to writing. So, to get my arse into gear, I'm going to give the one, two, quick update with promises of more in the near future. (soon as I figure out where I'm going to go with all this) And many thanks to my blogging friends for checking on me. I am alive and well. And I'm back because of you. And also because I just got a new macbook, so I can write from the comfort of my bed again...ahhhhh...the good life.
My tests have all come back fine and at this point I'm still cancer free. WOOT! I still go to cancer support meetings and am still involved with the charity side of Gilda's Club. Many, many of my friends have active cancer and/or are cancer survivors. It's a whole new world.
My father was recently diagnosed (earlier this week) with non-small cell lung cancer and has been in the hospital for over a week. We are just waiting on scans and for him to feel well enough to get out. More details later, but I will say having Thanksgiving at the hospital was interesting.
My mother is currently staying on my couch while my father is in the hospital For those of you that may know me and/or her, this is NOT an easy thing to deal with.
Dating is stressful. Work is stressful. Family is stressful. Blogging has been stressful - but I'm changing all that. Prepare thyself.
Most recent good news: my oldest and my grandson are moving out between Christmas and New Years. It's been a long time coming. Hopefully it's not a mistake - sigh - so complicated. Hopefully, my mother will be gone by then too. I would REALLY REALLY like a bit of peace and quiet.
So, as I said, more details later. Just looking for the proper angle...
